Plants
Propagating and growing plants is at the heart of what we do. We pride ourselves in the quality of the plants we produce and stock. As a nursery rather than a garden centre, the majority of the plants are grown here at Ashton Garden Plants. In this way we can assure all of our customers that the plants you buy are in tip-top condition.Although we are small that does not mean that the range of plants is restricted. If anything the opposite is true, as many of our customers comment that the choice they have is often greater than they can find elsewhere. Pay us a visit, we are sure that you will be as impressed as other customers have been.
Additionally, if we do not have the plant you are looking for in stock, we will, on request, attempt to find it. This service extends mostly to specimen shrubs and trees, but occasionally we may also be able to source perennials. We do not charge a premium for this service, but will normally take a deposit after sourcing and agreeing the purchase with you.
We do offer a mail order service for herbaceous perennials via the internet at www.ashtonperennials.co.uk. Additional varieties are added annually as we propagate different varieties.
In the autumn we grow, on average, around 2500 cyclamen. These colourful plants add a dash of colour around the house, either on their own, or in a colourful planter. Looked after carefully, don’t over water, they will continue flowering until the spring.
